No Man's Land
In 2010 the French Embassy relocated to a new annex constructed on the same premises. Before the old wing was demolished, the Embassy held an exhibition which acted as a platform for cultural exchange between Japan and France. This was the very last opportunity for visitors to visit the old building.  Most of the work was produced onsite: some artists turned the exhibition sites into their ateliers, providing a new form of communication between the viewer and art through their creative activities.  Over 70 participants include both internationally renowned and emerging French and Japanese artists, as well as art students from both nations.
